Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager will work closely with senior Oakwell engineers and its health system clients. This position will manage large multi-phased hospital infrastructure projects that involve multiple subcontractors and user groups to accomplish the following:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of healthcare infrastructure projects, deploy project strategy, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with sustainability, electrification, decarbonization, cost-saving, and profit goals
- Manage cross-functional teams to execute complex, phased construction projects on time and within budget
- Align infrastructure upgrades with client facility master plans and long-term capital strategies
- Oversee implementation of sustainable MEP standards in collaboration with engineering and construction partners
- Phased planning and timely execution of healthcare infrastructure and construction projects
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and publish a project schedule that incorporates phasing, logistics, permitting, disruption avoidance, equipment lead time, testing, commissioning, etc.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the health system ownership team—prepare agendas, document meeting outcomes, track follow-up items, and manage project budgets and schedules across all phases, with regular reporting
- Develop a purchasing strategy using the project/procurement schedules and budget to ensure purchases are prioritized and buy out goals are met
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, design team, co-workers, subcontractors and all other outside parties ensuring close collaboration and communication
- Prepare client deliverables for review, researching means, methods, and best practices, and conducting site visits and inspections.
- Manage subcontractor agreements and oversee billing and collections including invoicing to maintain project cash flow
- Strictly adhere to and promote Oakwell’s and its client’s risk management and safety policies and procedures
- Evaluate construction work for compliance with standards of quality, construction documents, and owner’s requirements
- Build effective internal and external relationships and facilitate streamlined workflows
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (especially with operations focus) or related field preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and/or real estate development
- Well-versed in healthcare design and construction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Strong customer service orientation with decision-making ability
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Creative and flexible; ability to multi-task various projects in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to travel, as needed (20%)
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- MBA with an operations focus, PMP or CCM certification
- Experience working in a client facing environment
- Facilitate the creation, implementation and use of machine learning and AI tools to streamline internal workflows

Location & Travel
Oakwell is registered to operate in multiple states throughout the United States. This role will be based in Atlanta, Georgia. We encourage regular collaboration with other Oakwell staff and our clients. In addition to on-site work hours for collaboration, travel will be required from time to time for the following purposes:
